Player Insurance
Our public liability insurance is through an insurer called the ARA or Australian Reenactors Association. It is required that all players from their Second game onwards have at least (Broadform Insurance) through the ARA, proven by a card issued or a PDF Scan of the Certificate of Currency from ARA to play at our games.
Broadform Insurance with ARA has an annual cost of $20.
Why ARA?
This is a unique method to insure ourselves but the ARA is the only insurance company in Australia that insures us and you specifically for LARP and other similar activities. Full details can be found on their site here: http://re-enactors.org.au/
It also offers personal insurance, this means if a player wishes to get this cover that it covers them for injuries and other problems at games. Full details again can be found on the ARA website
Lastly and most importantly the ARA naturally covers us, Wizards and Warlords but the insurance that players pay for is the players insurance, it covers the player for ALL LARPing activities with any LARP group and even non-LARP groups which use ARA such as reenactment events. Each player should receive an email with a printable card as proof of this insurance cover. You will also be able to find the digital copy on the website; https://reenactors.org.au/portal/members/card
Broadform Insurance vs Personal Injury Cover
