By registering for, attending, or participating in any Wizards and Warlords event, whether as a paying participant or under a complimentary or promotional entry, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

Voluntary Participation

I understand that participation in Wizards and Warlords, operated by Fantasy Events Pty Ltd, is entirely voluntary. I choose to take part of my own free will.

Acknowledgement of Risk

I acknowledge that Wizards and Warlords is a live action roleplay (LARP) activity involving physical exercise and simulated combat using foam or latex weapons. I understand that participation carries inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Minor injuries such as bruises, sprains, cuts, and strains.

• More serious injuries such as fractures, concussions, or dislocations.

• Environmental hazards including uneven terrain, slips, trips, weather conditions, heat, cold, and dehydration.

• Emotional or mental stress arising from gameplay interactions.

Assumption of Risk

I voluntarily accept and assume all risks, whether known or unknown, associated with my participation in Wizards and Warlords. I acknowledge that, while Fantasy Events Pty Ltd takes reasonable steps to provide a safe environment and enforce safety rules, live action roleplay involves physical interaction and cannot be made entirely risk-free.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Fantasy Events Pty Ltd, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, event organisers, marshals, venue owners and operators, and fellow participants from any claim, demand, action, liability, loss, damage, cost, or expense arising from or connected with my participation in Wizards and Warlords, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

Indemnity

I agree to indemnify and keep indemnified Fantasy Events Pty Ltd and its representatives against any claim, cost, loss, damage, or expense arising from my negligent or unlawful acts or omissions during my participation, including any injury or damage caused to another person or to property.

Fitness and Responsibility

I declare that I am physically capable of participating in the activity and will comply with all game rules, safety requirements, and lawful directions given by organisers and marshals.

I agree not to engage in reckless, dangerous, or unsportsmanlike behaviour and understand that organisers may remove me from the event if they believe my behaviour presents a risk to myself or others.

Age Requirement

I confirm that I am at least 15 years of age. If I am under 18 years of age, I confirm that I have the consent of my parent or legal guardian to participate and that any required consent forms have been completed.

Agreement

I have read and understood this Acknowledgement of Risk and Indemnity.

By signing this form or completing an online registration, I acknowledge that I understand and accept the risks associated with participation and agree to be bound by these terms.
