How Weekly Games Work

Each week, two leading Companies are selected to undertake a mission. These missions often place the Companies in direct competition, either working toward conflicting objectives or racing to complete the same task first on behalf of their Benefactors. In some cases, only one Company is assigned the mission, while the opposition is portrayed by NPCs, played by members of another Company for that session.

Some games may also involve multiple rival Companies, or a third group of NPC’s, each competing for the same objective or prize. These multi-sided missions introduce shifting alliances, unpredictable outcomes, and greater opportunities for both risk and reward.

Regardless of the mission format, the following rules apply:

  • All players on the winning side receive 2 personal reputation points and 2 copper coins as payment for the night. This includes both members of the leading Company and any mercenaries they have hired.

  • The winning Company also gains 5 Company Reputation.

  • All players on the losing side receive 1 personal reputation point and 1 copper coin, including hired mercenaries.

  • In certain scenarios, where failure carries greater consequences, the losing side may receive no personal reputation or may even lose personal reputation depending on the outcome.

Multi-Sided Missions:

On nights where there are more than two sides involved in a mission, the winning side still receives the standard winning rewards listed above, while all other sides are treated as losing sides and receive the standard losing side rewards.

In addition to reputation and copper, some missions offer special rewards. These may include personal favors from powerful figures, hidden caches of treasure, rare items, or even fragments of forbidden knowledge. Such rewards are not always guaranteed, but for those willing to take greater risks, or uncover hidden objectives, the potential gains can be far more valuable than coin alone.

This system rewards participation while offering a clear incentive to succeed. Mercenaries, though not involved in decision-making, are essential to a mission’s outcome and are always compensated for their efforts.

All personal player reputation points, copper coins, and any additional rewards or treasures will be recorded and made available for use at longer-format events, such as day games, weekend events, and week-long campaigns. These accumulated resources can have a lasting impact on a player's experience, influence, and opportunities during major events.

Character Experience (XP)

Each character earns Experience Points (XP) for every event they attend. XP is tracked per character, not per player, so if you have multiple characters, XP must be earned separately for each one. This may make progression slower if you regularly switch between characters.

We are currently developing the XP spending system. While those details are still to come, we will begin tracking XP from your character's first event onward, so your progress will count from the start.

XP Rewards by Event Type

  • Weekly Night Game: 1 XP

  • Day Game: 5 XP

  • Weekend Game: 10 XP

  • Week-Long Event: 20 XP

Volunteer XP and Rewards

Volunteers who give up their play time to assist in running the game will also earn XP, at half the normal rate, rounded up:

  • Weekly Night Game: 1 XP

  • Day Game: 3 XP

  • Weekend Game: 5 XP

  • Week-Long Event: 10 XP

This applies only if their duties prevent them from playing their character for most of the session.

In addition to XP, volunteers also earn:

  • 1 Copper Coin and

  • 1 Reputation Point
for each weekly night they volunteer under the same conditions.

Note: To be eligible for volunteer rewards, you must fully give up your ability to play in the event. Assisting briefly or helping between character actions does not qualify.

You must also nominate the character that the XP, reputation, and copper rewards will be assigned to for each session you volunteer. These rewards cannot be split between characters or transferred later.
